Growing up in rural Cheshire, I started driving at the very young age of 12 (private land of course...!) passing my car test straight after my 17th birthday. I then swiftly passed my motorbike licence and soon after my HGV.
With my HGV licence under my belt, I rapidly gained a huge amount of experience including several years driving trucks across Europe and then after relocating South, I drove airside at Heathrow – we moved everything from F1 cars to Red Cross parcels, we even moved a live Tiger...! From this point I studied for my logistics qualification, passing my transport manager's certificate and a career in senior management followed.
My first experience of teaching someone to drive was with my daughter, now in her twenties. Having enjoyed teaching her to drive so much, I decided to make a career change and have thoroughly enjoyed this ever since.
To develop new drivers to not only pass their driving tests but to be safe drivers on our busy road network is highly satisfying and important to me. I aim to present my lessons in a fun and effective style because I know that if your lessons are fun you will learn quicker and to a deeper level. The benefit of this approach is that you will be a considerably safer driver. Eco-safe driving is a speciality I can teach you to save fuel by driving safely and efficiently.
Attention to detail is also one of my strong points as I believe that this leads to a higher standard of driving for all my pupils. Adapting my teaching skills to suit your learning style enables me to teach you quickly and effectively as we all learn in different ways.
I do have a limited amount of availability at weekends as I know when you are working full time or in full-time education it is not always possible to get time off in the week.

Wow... I honestly couldn't rate Paul highly enough! I passed my driving test 8 years ago and up until recently, not been back in the driver's seat since the day of my test (meaning that my confidence with driving has been very low).
I booked 2 refresher lessons with Paul, and immediately he managed to put my mind at ease, and made the whole experience of driving again really enjoyable. He explained things in a way that really resonated with me, and made things that previously seemed a huge challenge feel really simple - something that my original driving instructor hadn't managed to do.
Paul really let me lead the way, whilst bringing so much positivity and enthusiasm to our lessons, meaning that I'm now really excited to get back in the car again!

Best driving instructor ever!!!!!! Paul is kind, patient, funny and puts the student completely at their ease. He goes above and beyond what you could ever expect. He also trains for real life driving along with passing the test(which they will with Paul!). You simply could not book a better driving instructor than Paul, he is absolutely fantastic!!!!
