Is Guildford A Safe Place To Learn To Drive

Guildford has been ranked 'second most dangerous' area for learner drivers but our instructor 'totally disagrees'.

Following an independent survey looking at driving accidents for those driving on a provisional licence, Guildford was mentioned in the survey as having a higher amount of accidents with those drivers behind the wheel.

However, with Prime Driving School having a number of driving instructors all teaching in central Guildford, Prime Driving School had to totally disagree, despite the survey. Lynne commented that 'our instructors have not had any accidents at all over many years as they teach our new drivers to drive safely on today's busy road network, because we are in control of the car as we teach our pupils to drive safely despite the road conditions."

ORDIT registered driving instructor trainer, Lynne Von Wildenrath came to the conclusion that possibly overseas experienced drivers who are now driving on the left side of the road in their own cars and need to pass the UK driving test within one year to able to continue to drive within the UK might be the cause of the survey results.

Guilford has experienced high immigration rates over the last few years and this might be the cause as driving in the UK can be a totally different experience for those people as opposed to driving in their country of birth. Prime Driving School are currently teaching many people at the moment who have arrived from Hong Kong. It is only an opinion but it may be the reason for the survey results.
